Alpha Centauri Kid (ACK) is a multidisciplinary artist from Texas. After early experiments in painting and music, he became a celebrated figure in the web3 art community known for seamlessly blending traditional art forms with digital innovation. After bidding wars over his debut on SuperRare, he left a 14-year government job for the digital art world.

Ackstract Editions

Alpha Centauri Kid works while being led by a force he calls ‘the Muse.’ In his Ackstract Editions (a hint to his artist name, rephrasing ‘abstract’), each work is called an ‘eventual self-portrait’ and symbolizes an offer to ‘the Muse’. The piece merges the stark image of a skull with textured abstraction, moving in between the concepts of the harsh morality and the unknown, questionable eternal.

Warothys

In Warothys, ACK plunges viewers into a dynamic Warhol-inspired glitch art universe by transforming elements such as bolts, flames, and iconic figures—like Dorothy from ‘The Wizard of Oz’ and the Mona Lisa—into layers of chaotic yet meticulously arranged artwork. This results in graphic portraits that echo the randomness of Dada collages, all while incorporating the vivid color schemes characteristic of Andy Warhol’s creations.
